Penalties for DUI in Bakersfield
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) takes drunk driving very seriously and strives to make DUI convicts feel the full weight of their DUI case. One of the possible penalties you can expect if you are convicted of DUI is required attendance at a Mothers Against Drunk Driving Victim Impact Panel.
If you are facing the possibility of a DUI conviction, you will want to make sure that you have accessible and high-quality legal guidance. At Campbell Whitten, we strive to find flaws in the work of the prosecutor and arresting officer to help clients avoid the maximum penalty they could face.

What does this penalty entail?
The idea behind MADD Victim Impact Panels is to discourage those charged with DUI from ever driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs again. It also allows victims to share their stories. These sessions are intended to display the effects of impaired driving through testimonies and discussions by various speakers.
Each Victim Impact Panel requires a 2-hour time commitment and can only be attended with proof that the class was ordered by the court. Each session requires a $25 payment from the alleged offender. After completing the session, post-sentence attendants can receive a verification certificate.
At Campbell Whitten, we have handled more than 10,000 cases and are ready to see what we can do on your behalf. We never treat clients like just another case number, but will meet directly with each person looking for a solution to their DUI charges.
